Ultra HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase

Ultra HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase is designed for Hot-Start PCR and pPCR applications. A special inhibitor suppresses the reaction below 45°C until after the enzyme is heat inactivation.  This enables researchers to set up PCR reaction at room temperature. This also prevents primer-dimers and other artifacts. Ultra HotStart Taq DNA Polymerase possesses a 5´→3´ polymerase activity and a 5´ flap endonuclease activity.

The polymerase is tested in a hot start polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using Lambda DNA as the control template, specific primers and human genomic DNA, resulting in an increase in yield of the expected Lambda product and a decrease in non-specific genomic bands when compared to a non-hot start control reaction.

Storage and Stability

For long term, the enzyme should be stored at -20°C.  If stored at recommended temperature, the enzyme is stable for SIX months.
